Arrestin is a form of economical adjunctive treatment to aid our patients in maintaining their periodontal health. It is a form of minocyclin( a cousin of tetracyclin) which is applied to the gum pockets that have begun to become a problem area. It acts to kill localized bacterias at the site where it is applied. Arrestin is used to either help maintain or decrease the depth of the gum pockets after the cleaning procedure. No injection is necessary. |
